To pamper your loved ones at breakfast, or at snack time, at Puro Chocolate we share this Kristina Wetter churros recipe for you to enjoy with a delicious cup of chocolate very thick and hot.
Churros
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 2 cups of corn oil
- Sugar
Preparation
In a large enough pot, heat the milk, water, salt and melted butter until the mixture boils.
Add the wheat flour and stir constantly until a thick, elastic dough forms.
Transfer the mixture to the mixer bowl, add the egg and beat a while longer, until the mixture is homogeneous.
Place the dough in the churrera. It is important that the dough is thick enough, because if it is very liquid, the churros will not take the desired shape.
In a deep cauldron, heat the corn oil. Form the churros and fry them until they are golden and crispy.
Once ready, put them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Decorate your churros with sugar and serve them with chocolate hot.
