Barinas in Two Seasons and Chocolate in Two Coordinates are the names of the pairs of chocolate bars made with the best cocoa in Venezuela.
The Venezuelan chocolate company Cava presented its new collection of chocolate bars 2022 which it called Barinas in Two Seasons and Chocolate in Two Coordinates.
They are two packages that contain, each one, two chocolate bars made with the best cacao Venezuelan from three farms in the country.
Barinas in Two Cakawa Stations
Barinas en Dos Estaciones brings two chocolate bars made with cocoa from the same farm in the Venezuelan state of Barinas, the same "terroir", but the difference between the two is that one was made with cocoa harvested in the dry or summer season and another in the rainy winter season.
The tablet made with cocoa harvested in summer has 71% of this grain and stands out for its shades of raisins and honey; while the one made with the winter harvest has 67% cocoa and maintains tones of cherries and honey.
Chocolate in Two Cakawa Coordinates
Chocolate in Two Coordinates brings two chocolate bars made with cocoa from two geographical points in the country: from Sur del Lago, an area located between the Venezuelan states of Trujillo, Zulia and Mérida; and Barlovento, in the state of Miranda.
The Sur del Lago bar is called Caño Azul, it contains 73% cocoa and its tones are of nuts, coffee and raisins; while the one from Barlovento, Las González, has 71% cocoa and its tones are intense, fruity, woody and citrus.
About Cakawa chocolates
Cakawa, Food of the Gods, is a Venezuelan company that researches, produces and markets Venezuelan fine aromatic cocoa.
Its first collection of chocolate bars, currently sold out, was launched in 2019 and consisted of four types: one made with cocoa grown in Patanemo Bay, Carabobo state; another with grains from the Paria Peninsula, in Sucre; another with cocoa from Barlovento and another with beans from Sur del Lago.
Their physical store is located in Caracas and, in addition to tablets, they offer chocolates filled with Creole ingredients, sprinkles, energy bars and cookies.
