Symposia on cocoa, conferences on rum, chocolate and rum tastings, live chocolate preparations, cultural presentations and more than 50 brands of Venezuelan chocolate are part of this activity.
Next Wednesday, July 13, the first Cacao and Ron Miranda Expoferia organized in the country begins, and several chocolatiers who will participate in this edition share the program that will be presented for five days in the Bolívar de La Carlota park, in Caracas.
There are many activities in which the public can attend and participate for free until Sunday, July 17.
Agenda for Thursday, July 14
This day, in the La Cosecha tent, Professor Iraima Chacón will present the symposium Cacaos Criollos, Mitos y Actualidad at 10:00 am.
At 11:00 am, the engineer Francisco Betancourt will present the symposium Technical considerations of the benefit protocols that impact on the quality of the cocoa bean.
After lunch, at 2:00 pm, Professor Alexis Zambrano will present the symposium Preserving the flavors of fine aroma cocoa.
At 3:00 pm, Professor Catalina Ramis will present the symposium Innovation in genetics to preserve the flavors of Venezuelan cocoa.
At 4:00 pm, Professor Liliana Jiménez will present the symposium Innovation in business growth for the cocoa and chocolate industry.
From 5:00 to 6:30 pm, Professor María Fernanda Di Giacobbe will present a tasting of original chocolate. And between 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm, Alejandro Jurado will be in charge of the semifinal of the National Cocoa and Rum Cocktail Competition.
In the La Chocolatería tent, at 11:00 am, Mary Funes, from Chocolates Sublime 9, will give a taste cocoa liquors and chocolates that she will make during the live chocolate laboratory activity “Making chocolate from the seed”.
At 2:00 pm, Emma Torrealba Chocolatier together with Teresita Pino and Jesús Martínez from +58Cacao will do a tasting tempered chocolate bars during the live chocolate laboratory activity “Tempered and Chocolate bars of origin”.
At 4:00 p.m., Bombonería Venezolana, Luzmar González, Chocolúdico and Alexander Espinoza will perform a live chocolate tasting of those produced in the Chocolate Laboratory.
On the main stage, at 4:00 pm, the Mirandino cultural group Santos Inocentes will perform; and at 5:00 pm the mixability cocktail exhibition: the magic of a blend, by Héctor Gascón.
At 6:00 pm, the Show De Flair, by Leonardo Pérez, will be presented; at 7:30 pm the group Herencia Mujer will perform and at 8:30 pm the group Julio and his Charanga.
In the children's area there will be a cooking area, another painting and another sowing from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Agenda for Friday, July 15
In the La Cosecha tent, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., a business conference will be held.
At 1:00 p.m., engineer Alejandro Casas will present the conference History of Rum from Venezuela
At 2:00 pm, Luis Figueroa will present the conference Elaboration of Venezuelan rum from the cane to the bottle.
At 3:00 pm, Andrés Contreras and Carlos Pérez will present the conference The Magic of Rum Aging in Venezuela.
At 4:00 pm, Pedro Perales will present the conference on rum from Venezuela, rum with a last name, national pride.
At 5:00 pm, Naudis González will present a Barlovento chocolate tasting.
Between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm Alejandro Jurado will present the final of the Cocoa and Rum Cocktail Competition.
In the La Chocolatería tent, in the live chocolate laboratory activity, Miguel Rodríguez, from Herencia Divina; and Gabriela Villarina, from Cacao de Origen, will present a tasting of cocoa and chocolate liqueurs at the Other technologies in the transformation of cocoa to chocolate conference, at 11:00am.
Aura Di Mieli, from Mieles Homemade chocolates; and Sandra Boesi, from Urbano chocolate, will do a tasting of everything made in the live chocolate laboratory "Tempered, flavored and sugar-free bars", at 2:00 pm.
Sander Koenen, from Sander Chocolatier; and María Fernanda Di Giaocobe, from Kakao, will do a chocolate tasting in the live chocolate laboratory “Belgian, French and Venezuelan chocolates, differences”, at 4:00 pm.
At 5:00 pm, Elba Sangronis will announce the results of the National Venezuelan Chocolate Contest, and at 6:00 pm there will be an award ceremony by the Governor of the Miranda state, Héctor Rodríguez.
On the main stage, at 5:00 pm, Jefferson Toyo will hold the Flavors of Venezuela Rum and Cocoa cocktail exhibition; and, at 6:00 pm, Leonardo Pérez will present the Flair Show.
At 7:00 pm, the Betsaida Machado drum group will perform; and at 8:00 pm, a Latin salsa group will perform.

In the La Cosecha tent, Elevina Pérez and Pedro Perales will carry out the taste of rum and chocolate Armonia Venezolana par Excelencia at 1:00 pm.
At 3:00 pm, Elevina Pérez and Pedro Perales will perform the Meridaje tasting.
In the La Chocolatería tent, Marisol Novoa, from Porcelana Chocolatier; and Iliana Camparielli, from Camparielli Cacao, will present a tasting of seeds and chocolate during the live chocolate lab activity “Making chocolate throughout Venezuela”, at 11:00 am.
Pedro Rojas, from Takokohc; Arturo Somana, from Cacao Macuare, will carry out a tasting of products during the live chocolate laboratory activity "Chocolate products and alternative ingredients", at 2:00 pm.
Carolina Morales and Rodrigo Morales, from ValleCanoabo, will make a dessert tasting and will project a video presentation during the live chocolate laboratory activity "The magic of fillings and nougat", 5:00 pm.
On the main stage, Daniel Esteba will present at 5:00 pm the live cocktail exhibition Reinterpretation of a classic with Venezuelan flavors.

In the La Chocolatería tent, Carlos and Carlos Daniel Goldin from Gocholate will taste cocoa and chocolate liqueurs during the live chocolate laboratory activity “Make quality chocolate at home”, at 11:00 am.
Ángela Montaperto and Carlos Daniel Lodin, from Gocholate, will do a tasting of chocolate bars during the live chocolate laboratory activity "Tempered and bars with inclusions of fruits and nuts". Also, Luis Landin, from Somos 3d3, will make 3D chocolate figures at 2:00pm.
Paul Herrera and Emely Nunes, from Ph5; and Nela Moser, from Picacho Chocolates, will do a product tasting during the live chocolate lab activity “Confectionery and creativity in harmony with nature”, at 4:00 pm.
The musical group Hilarians will perform on the main stage at 4:00 pm; at 5:00 pm, the Ensemble B11 group; at 6:00 pm, the salsa group Yare and at 7:00 pm the exhibition will close.
