Croissants filled with Venezuelan chocolate


  • 50 grams of dark chocolate (more than 50% cocoa)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 sheet of thawed puff pastry
  • 1 egg
  • Cocoa powder


  1. Spread the puff pastry on the kitchen table.
  2. Cut the dough with a knife in the form of long triangles.
  3. Insert a piece of chocolate at the base of each of the triangles.
  4. Roll up the triangles, starting at the base, so that the chocolate chip remains inside.
  5. Place the croissants on a previously floured baking tray or use parchment paper.
  6. Beat the egg and combine it with a tablespoon of cold water, and with the help of a brush paint the croissants.
  7. Cook them at 180°C for about 20 minutes.

Once they are removed from the oven, sprinkle the croissants with the cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
