This information was released by the deputy of the Legislative Council of Barinas Maigualida Santana, noted for the support she provides to the cocoa producer in her state.

Santana explained that this contest, in which the physical and sensory quality of cocoa beans from all the states of the country was evaluated, seeks to promote the quality of cocoa and all its variety of flavors.

In addition, he stressed that all the countries that will participate in the international cocoa contest work to improve the quality of life of small cocoa farmers and the recognition of their crops.

Meanwhile, the French Embassy in Venezuela congratulated the Tunarosa family and legislator Santana in an Instagram post for promoting cocoa plantations in Barinas state.

In October 2020, Cakawa's Barinas tablet won an award from the Agency for the Valuation of Agricultural Products in Paris.
