"We are making great efforts so that Russian companies, large corporations from this country, know the quality of these products to increase non-traditional exports from Venezuela," reported Manchuca.
For his part, the director of the Institute of Latin America of the Academy of Sciences, Dmitry Razumovsky, highlighted to this medium that the Latin American region is the cradle of cocoa, and urged his countrymen to be interested in this part of the South American gastronomic culture.
“In Russia, this kind of pleasures, let's say gastronomic, is not yet very developed, but nevertheless the prospects are huge. We thank Venezuela for the sustained efforts over the years to promote its chocolate brands in the country,” said the academic.
Likewise, on behalf of the Russian companies, the founder of the Chocolates Maroussia brand, María Maiskaya, expressed her intention to market the Venezuelan cocoa bean, considering that in the near future this item will have considerable potential in the Russian market.
