In his Tik Tok account, the chocolatier chef wrote next to the video of the giant chocolate giraffe that this sculpture, more than 2 meters high and weighing about 80 kilos, is his largest creation to date.

“It took me 7 days and I had to come up with some new techniques to achieve this end result.
Hard to believe that you can create so much using only 100% chocolate!", this young chocolatier posted on his Instagram account.

Amaury Guichon, 31, is a French-Swiss pastry chef known for his cake designs and chocolate sculptures.

In 2005, at the age of 14, he began his culinary training at the École Hôtelière Savoie Leman in Thonon-les-Bains and taking part in local competitions. She perfected her pastry through a job at the Wolfisberg bakery in Geneva.

He took classes at the Maison Lenôtre in Paris and in 2010 the board of the MOF association awarded him the title of Best Apprentice in France.

After completing his training, Guichon was hired to run the Lenôtre boutique and school in Cannes. He later returned to Paris to work as an executive pastry chef at the Hugo & Victor patisserie and chocolate shop; he reached executive chef level at the age of 21. 

In 2013, she participated in the France 2 cooking reality series Who will be the next great pastry chef? , being in third place; and in 2014 he moved to the United States to work with Jean-Philippe Maury at the Las Vegas branch of his Patisserie.

He worked as a private consultant and conducted master classes, which led him to co-found the Pastry Academy with Belgian chef Michel Ernots in Las Vegas in 2019.

In 2016 he began to publish his desserts and chocolate creations on social networks. She has earned more than 17 million followers on TikTok and 10 million on Instagram.

Guichon hosted the eight-episode reality series School of Chocolate from 2021-2022 on Netflix, a competition in which contestants build chocolate sculptures with Guichon guiding them and judging the end result.
