This delicious dessert is ideal to share with friends on a rainy afternoon.
Ingredients for the truffled chocolate mousse
- 300 grams of dark chocolate
- 1 and 1/2 cups of milk to whip
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Ingredients for the coffee mousse
- 2 cups of whipping cream
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1/3 cup of instant coffee
- 1 tablespoon of hot water
- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/2 cup cold water
Ingredients for the cinnamon mousse
- 1 and 1/2 cups of milk to whip
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon rum (optional)
- 1/2 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup cold water
Preparation of the truffled chocolate mousse
- In a pot in a bain-marie, melt the chocolate. When it is completely melted, remove it from the heat and reserve.
- Beat the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until you get a semi-firm consistency. Add to the chocolate and mix in an enveloping way. Pour the mixture into individual cups or a bowl and refrigerate.
Preparation of the coffee mousse
- Dissolve the coffee in the hot water and let cool.
- Beat the milk cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla. When the cream is firm, add the coffee until it is fully incorporated.
- Dissolve the gelatin in the cold water and heat until dissolved. Add a little of the cream to the gelatin to even out temperatures, then mix in the rest of the cream. Place on top of the chocolate layer and refrigerate.
Cinnamon mousse preparation
- Beat the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until you get a semi-firm consistency. Mix the cinnamon with the rum and add it to the cream.
- Dissolve the gelatin in the cold water and heat until dissolved. Add a little of the cream to the gelatin to even out temperatures, then mix in the rest of the cream. Place on top of the coffee layer and refrigerate.
- Decorate with a cinnamon stick and some chocolate shavings.
