These rich donuts are so versatile, that filled with jam, chocolate or custard, or simply covered with a glaze of various colors with toppings of grated coconut, chopped peanuts, colorful pearls or icing sugar, they are still the favorites.
- 3 cups of flour
- 4 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Yolks 2
- ½ cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar
- ½ cup of milk
- 2 egg whites beaten to the point of sigh

Mix and sift the first ingredients and set aside.
Then, beat the yolks until they thicken and add the sugar little by little and beat until the mixture is foamy.
Alternately add the 3 tablespoons of oil and lemon juice and beat continuously.
Add to the mixture 2 cups of the sifted dry ingredients that were left, taking turns adding the milk.
Add the beaten egg whites to the mixture very carefully so that they do not go down.
Immediately add the remaining sifted dry ingredients.
Roll out the mixture on a board lightly dusted with flour. Knead that until it is uniform and approximately one centimeter thick.
Cut the dough with the special gadget that is there for it, well floured.
Heat the oil in a cauldron with a capacity of three liters and brown the donuts until they are ready. Once fried place them on an absorbent paper.
Finally, prepare a chocolate melt and bathe them on top or fill them with the same melt. As an option you can place colored pearls, icing sugar or peanuts.
